We only accept one full service wedding or event per weekend, ensuring you have our utmost attention.

The Story of the Butterflies
Jaime was the owner and operator of Savannah Woods Plantation in Eads, Tennessee- a southern-style plantation venue for weddings and events. In 2005, she decided to sell the venue and launch her own wedding planning business called Elegant Event Planners. Meanwhile, Michelle had been working for a bridal magazine called “I Do” for Brides and called on Jaime (as a venue owner) to advertise in the magazine. Jaime let her know about the recent changes and new business so the two became friends as Michelle tried to help her with the launch of the new business.
The two had so much in common other than their fun and social personalities- from both being twins (Jaime has an identical twin sister and Michelle has a fraternal twin brother) and being part of the same college sorority (Kappa Delta), to both working out at the same gym and having a love for dancing and throwing amazing parties and events in the wedding industry. It was the perfect dynamic duo destined to team up!
Michelle left her magazine job to take the position of Director of Sales and Marketing at the Cadre Building in downtown Memphis (a historic venue) and it was not long before she realized event design was her true passion, even though sales is where she had found success. So after much prayer and encouragement from Jaime, in 2007 Michelle made the leap and the two began Social Butterflies, LLC – Weddings, Events, and Such. It was THE best decision they could make and the dynamic duo has been going strong ever since.
With Jaime’s business background and stellar organizational skills and Michelle’s creativity and eye for design, the two make up a one-of-a-kind wedding planning team. With their chemistry and southern charm, working with “The Butterflies” is an experience clients don’t want to end! Long after the event is over, Michelle and Jaime are still a part of their clients’ families and truly love every minute of the journey they get to continue with newfound friendships. So you see, Jaime and Michelle are truly “Social Butterflies” at heart and can’t wait to flutter into your life and plan memories that will last forever!
All About Jaime
Jaime is a very active and energetic mother/stepmother of six children. She is married to the love of her life, Chad. Jaime is an experienced martial artist, holding a first-degree black belt in Taekwondo. In her down time, she enjoys a good book and relaxation. Jaime loves the Lord Jesus – Psalms 16:8, “I keep my eyes always on the Lord, With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”
In addition to successfully operating Social Butterflies and executing strategic events, Jaime is actively involved in NACE (National Association of Catering and Event Professionals) currently serving as Past President with her local Chapter. In 2014, she distinguished herself in spectacular fashion with her creativity as she sat on the NACE National Educational Committee developing the marketing tagline for the NACE National Conference – Imagine, Design, Create.
All About Michelle
Michelle has a daughter, Juliana or “Jules” (age 5) and a son, Calvin (19 months). She is happily married to her college beaux, Darrin, and they love to travel and entertain friends and family! Michelle’s faith in God is the most important piece of her life and she gives Him all the Glory for the success of Social Butterflies and blessing her life so richly to allow her to live out her dreams.
Michelle strives to stay current in the industry by taking continuing education classes and attending conferences in the special events industry twice a year. She has been actively involved in the local NACE chapter and served on the board as the Director of Programs for 4 years. In addition to planning and designing events, Michelle continues to write freelance for several magazines including Southern Bride and Click!, where she has a monthly entertainment column, to keep her journalism skills alive.
